Three day Banks Peninsula cycling tour |
|||||||
| This
cycle tour starts from our base in Christchurch and heads straight
into the hills of Banks Peninsula, for spectacular views of Christchurch,
the Southern Alps and the extinct volcano that forms Lyttleton Harbour. Then it’s your choice of a gentle ride around the bays, or the demanding hills of the crater rim, as you head to the small seaside town of Diamond Harbour. From Diamond Harbour it’s a moderate climb to stunning views of the southern aspect of Banks Peninsula and then a gentle cycle alongside Lakes Forsyth & Ellesmere and onto the small town of Little River with its quiet and relaxed pace. From Little River you return to Christchurch via a different route with the option of taking in lunch or wine tastings at the vineyards on the way back to Christchurch to complete our trip.
