| Day 1 | We will meet you at your accommodation in Christchurch with bicycles and equipment and you then take the TranzAlpine train ride to Moana and the cycle to Greymouth |

An extension of our popular 9 day West Coast/ Kaikoura cycling tour that gives you a chance to take in the vineyards of Marlborough and the lovely coastal road north of Kaikoura.
This trip starts with a steady cycle along the rugged West Coast, with views of the spectacular rainforest, Punakaiki rocks and limestone cliffs. After a climb through the Southern Alps and relaxing in the geo-thermal natural hot springs of Maruia and Hanmer Springs, it’s on to Kaikoura with its abundant sea life and the popular whale watching.
Then it’s along the beautiful Pacific Ocean coast, passing the seal colonies that dot this spectacular coastline, as you head north to Marlborough/ Blenheim. You have a rest /cycling day in Blenheim giving you the chance to sample wine/ food including the distinctive New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, before heading back to Christchurch on the Tranz-Alpine Scenic Express.

- Trek Mountain Bike for touring (with road tyres) brought to your accommodation and personally fitted or Mongoose Randonneur specialist touring bicycle [700c wheels & drop bars]
- Ortlieb Rear Pannier Bags, front handlebar bag and comprehensive repair kit
- Detailed itinerary, maps and notes on points of interest that you will pass
- You can upgrade to an Avanti Vivace road bike available in combination with daily luggage transportation, contact us for further details
Accommodation
14 nights accommodation in twin rooms with bathroom ensuite (where available),
in carefully selected B&B's, home stays and small friendly motels (breakfast
included).

Daily luggage cartage
Your gear can be waiting for you at the end of each day. This service costs an additional NZ$1050 per person (minimum of 2 people) although a discount is available for 3 or more people.
